David Sabogal

David Sabogal has worked with a variety organizations in South America and Central Africa, including the German Development Cooperation (GIZ) and African Model Forest Network (AMFN), on research projects and conservation initiatives among rural and indigenous communities and sub-national governments. His work has focused on environmental policy, customary land tenure, community-based natural resource management, livelihood diversification and small-scale  mining. More recently he has gained experience on climate mitigation initiatives, namely REDD+.

David holds an MSc in Anthropology, Environment & Development from University College London and an MA in Social Anthropology with Development Studies from the University of Edinburgh.
