GCP’s work in Peru has been mainly focused under our Financing Sustainable Landscapes programme. Since 2013 we have been working with the government of San Martin to design the business case and innovative financial mechanisms to fund the transition to sustainable land use. We are now engaging investors on piloting a financial mechanism to implement this transition with a subset of farmers across 3 supply chains. We have also engaged in Peru through the Amazonia Security Agenda – focusing on improving policy coherence on natural resources to achieve water, energy and food security objectives.
Global Canopy is looking to hire a high-level door opener and engagement lead who can represent GCP’s interests, champion our work and programmes and engage key stakeholders in government and finance sector in Peru. Please see the attached ToR for more information.
