New briefing looks at the role of certification in sourcing from tropical forest countries

This briefing note uses data from the Forest 500 to look at the prevalence of certification in company sustainability commitments and to assess whether certification-based commitments are helping to protect remaining tropical forests. It finds that 80% of companies with sustainability commitments use FSC or PEFC certification and looks at how those companies can improve policies to ensure tropical forests are protected.
