Biodiversity loss challenges humanity and the planet on as large a scale as climate change. Addressing this challenge will require all the innovation and capital the private sector can provide. The aim of the panel was to discuss how the TNFD framework is being implemented and how it can drive corporate strategies focused on preventing biodiversity loss. Following a brief introduction from Alexis Gazzo (EY), the panelists were asked to react on the items below:

  1. What is the status of the TNFD framework so far? To what extent has it changed corporate
    practices?
  2. What progress has been made by the private sector to date in terms of deploying
biodiversity focused strategies? How do these strategies feed into enterprise risk
    management? corporate strategies? Investor relations?
  3. What are the main challenges faced by corporates in the biodiversity space today?
  4. Going forward, what do we need to achieve in the next months to better integrate nature in
corporate decision making? How can TNFD play a role?
  5. How can Governments play a role in supporting these efforts? What do you expect from
    COP16?
