COP28: Nature-Based Solutions – Harvesting the Double Dividend for Climate and Biodiversity

Nature-based solutions could save 10 gigatonnes of CO2 equivalent per year. Those natural climate solutions have huge potential to avoid greenhouse gas emissions by protecting ecosystems and sequestering carbon. Which innovations use nature best to make communities more resilient, provide habitats for flora and fauna and tackle greenhouse gas emissions? How can we scale natural climate solutions up significantly by 2030?

At the World Climate Summit Global Canopy’s Senior Research Associate Pei Chi Wong talked about the data and tools that financial institutions can use to put nature at the heart of their decision making and ensure that nature-positive investments are not being undermined by nature-negative ones.
