Global Canopy welcomes first beta version of TNFD framework

As a founding partner of the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD), Global Canopy welcomes the first beta version of the TNFD’s framework for nature-related risk management and disclosures released for consultation.

Core to Global Canopy’s mission is improving the transparency around how markets impact nature. The beta version of the TNFD framework will help companies and financial institutions begin to assess and report on their links with nature in a systematic and consistent way.

During the TNFD’s 18-month market consultation, Global Canopy will continue to support the initiative. Our pilot project to test this first beta framework in the palm oil sector is already underway and follows on from our first nature-related reporting pilot project in soy supply chains that we began last year. The lessons from which fed into this first beta version.
