Cutting Deforestation from Our Pensions

Over £300 billion of UK pension money is invested in companies and financial institutions with high deforestation risk, according to joint research by Make My Money Matter, SYSTEMIQ and Global Canopy. Pensions are supposed to provide for our futures; instead, they’re endangering them.

Our analysis provides the basis for UK pension schemes to commit to deforestation-free portfolios, and to report robustly on their progress towards net zero, which is vital to limiting climate change.
