Darren Mckenzie

Darren is a journalist who has spent 20 years making radio programmes and producing content for commercial, national and international news providers. Most recently he was the Assistant Editor of the award winning Emma Barnett Show on BBC Radio 5 Live. Passionate about telling stories he’s produced interviews with world leaders, Prime Ministers, royalty and activists across the globe. He’s now using his journalism skills to highlight the issues around deforestation and biodiversity loss.

In his spare time Darren can be found walking across the Lancashire hills, brewing his own beer and watching Derby County play football. He also volunteers for Shelter.
