Maria Tyldesley

Maria works on the Trase platform. She researches the supply chains of commodities which are driving deforestation in parts of Latin America and analyses their impact upon people and the environment.

Before joining Global Canopy, Maria worked in the youth work sector and later as a research consultant for several environmental NGOs and academic institutions. She has a masters degree in Environment, Society and Development and a BA in Latin American studies, through which she completed fieldwork in transitions to sustainable agriculture in the Brazilian semi-arid region.
