Nnenna Onwuka

Nnenna is a Research Assistant on the Corporate Performance Team, working on the Forest 500 company assessments. She previously worked for girls’ rights organisations, focussing on girls’ education and feminist climate justice, and advocated for gender language and quality climate education in the Action for Climate Empowerment negotiations at COP26.

Nnenna holds an MSc in Human Rights from the London School of Economics, where she analysed the protection of Environmental and Human Rights Defenders through a decolonial feminist lens. She is most interested in the human impact of deforestation and feminist solutions.
