Launched at the UNFCCC climate summit in December 2008, The Little REDD+ Book is a guide to support UN negotiators on Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Degradation (REDD). REDD aims to help halt deforestation, which causes a large proportion of the world’s carbon emissions. In addition, the mechanism could help fight poverty while conserving biodiversity and sustaining vital ecosystem services.
