Claudia Gray

Claudia is the Director for the Nature-Related Finance (NRF) programme, where she leads implementation of the NRF strategy, including our work with the ENCORE partnership.

She was previously the Head of Financial Sector Research at ShareAction, overseeing the team that ranks asset managers, insurers and European banks on their responsible finance policies and practices, as well as supporting the technical assessment within the nature and biodiversity theme. Her background is in capacity building and biodiversity science, having provided technical expertise to ecological research in 39 different countries while at the Zoological Society of London. Claudia carried out her PhD at Oxford University on the biodiversity impacts and dependencies of palm oil plantations, followed by post-doctoral research modelling global biodiversity responses to land cover and protection status.
