Isabela Núñez del Prado Nieto

Isabela is the Research Lead in Global Canopy’s Corporate Performance Programme. She has over eight years of experience working at the intersection of finance, forests and development, with a focus on shifting finance and markets to better support forests and the people who depend on them. Prior to joining Global Canopy in 2026, she was a Researcher at the International Institute for Environment and Development (IIED), where she worked on forest and agricultural finance across Latin America, Africa and Southeast Asia. She holds an MSc in Environmental Governance from the University of Oxford.

Outside of work, Isabela enjoys running and swimming, and loves films and reading novels.
