Hannah Lemos

Hannah joined Global Canopy in February 2025 as a Sustainable Finance Technical Specialist, bringing with her extensive experience in projects dedicated to ending deforestation. She worked on implementing strategies in collaboration with investors to achieve deforestation-free portfolios, collaborating with institutions in Brazil, Bolivia, the United States, and other countries. Her professional trajectory also includes policy engagement, data analysis, and the development of documents on climate change and deforestation in Latin America.

With a strong experience in forest dynamics, she has also contributed to projects on ecological restoration, vegetation monitoring, and the development of agroforestry systems.

She is graduated in Forest Engineering from the University of São Paulo (USP), with a postgraduate degree in Sustainability and ESG and she is currently pursuing a master’s in Environmental Sciences at the same university, where she researches public policies for the restoration of degraded pasturelands and cattle traceability as a strategy to achieve zero deforestation in Brazil.

Based in Brazil, she dedicates her free time to painting and playing the guitar.

Hannah ingressou na Global Canopy em fevereiro de 2025 como Especialista Técnica em Finanças Sustentáveis, trazendo consigo uma ampla experiência em projetos dedicados a combater o desmatamento. Ela trabalhou na implementação de estratégias em colaboração com investidores para alcançar portfólios livres de desmatamento, atuando junto a instituições no Brasil, Bolívia, Estados Unidos e outros países. Sua trajetória profissional também inclui engajamento político, análise de dados e a elaboração de documentos sobre mudanças climáticas e desmatamento na América Latina.

Com uma forte experiência em dinâmicas florestais, ela também contribuiu para projetos de restauração ecológica, monitoramento da vegetação e desenvolvimento de sistemas agroflorestais.

Formada em Engenharia Florestal pela Universidade de São Paulo (USP), com pós-graduação em Sustentabilidade e ESG, é mestranda em Ciências Ambientais na mesma universidade, onde pesquisa políticas públicas para a restauração de pastagens degradadas e a rastreabilidade do gado como estratégia para alcançar o desmatamento zero no Brasil.

Hannah vive no Brasil e dedica seu tempo livre à pintura e a tocar violão.
