Natacha Postel-Vinay

Natacha is a financial transparency, regulation and corporate governance expert. At Global Canopy, she leads the development of the open-source data platform ENCORE Insights: Country Dashboard, which quantifies countries’ potential exposure to financial risks from nature degradation domestically and along supply chains, based on research co-authored with Dr Nicola Wilson. She acts as work package lead for the EU-Horizon research programme Nature-3B. She is also seconded to the Taskforce for Nature-Related Financial Disclosure (TNFD), and co-authored, in 2025, the Oxford University-TNFD-Global Canopy report “Evidence review on the financial effects of nature-related risks.“

Before joining Global Canopy in 2024, Natacha was an Associate Professor at the London School of Economics and an Academic Visitor at the Bank of England. While at the LSE, she published an Op-Ed in the Guardian arguing for greater skin in the game in the financial sector at executive board level. Over time she has built additional expertise in financial and macroeconomic history, public finance, taxation and natural capital. In her spare time she continues to publish in academic journals on financial regulation.
