Laura Valkonen

Laura works in the Nature-related Finance team where she oversees project operations for SECO and Horizon projects. Her role involves coordinating with project partners, managing project documentation, developing annual plans, and supporting the team on work and project plans and tracking results.

Laura joined Global Canopy in September 2022 as a Project Coordinator to provide support and project planning for climate and nature summits. Laura holds a Masters in Science for Sustainable Development from Linköping University where her dissertation explored governance change in a community-led peatland restoration project. In her spare time, she enjoys cycling and yoga.
