Osvaldo Pereira

Osvaldo joined Global Canopy in September 2021 to work on Trase, having previously worked as a science specialist at The Nature Conservancy (TNC) Brazil for five years. At TNC, he was the technical coordinator of Agroideal decision support system; focused on soy and beef production chains in Amazon, Cerrado and Chaco biomes. He led the development of spatially explicit indicators of socio-environmental risk and sustainable economic opportunities to support decision making. He also led the technical engagement with specialists to improve and validate Agroideal indicators.

Osvaldo holds a degree in Geography from the State University of Sao Paulo, and a Masters and PhD in Agronomy from the University of Sao Paulo and University of Toulon-Var. He also has a post PhD in water chemistry from the University of Sao Paulo.
